PUTRAJAYA, April 25 – The government has decided to place Selayang Baru in Gombak, Selangor under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from today until May 3.<\/p>\n

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the decision which was made on advice of the Ministry of Health (MCO) involves six parcels, namely:<\/p>\n

Zone A \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Jalan Indah 3 and\u00a0Jalan Indah 5A, Selayang Indah<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Zone B \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Jalan Indah 21, Lembah Indah, Selayang Baru<\/p>\n

Zone C \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Jalan Besar Selayang Baru, Jalan 1 and\u00a0Jalan Indah 21, Selayang Baru<\/p>\n

Zone D \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Jalan 3, 5, 7 and 9, Selayang Baru<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Zone E \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Jalan 2, 4, 6 and\u00a08, Selayang Baru<\/p>\n

Zone F \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : Blok A, B and C, Selayang Makmur<\/p>\n

\u201cThe seventh EMCO is carried out to contain COVID-19 infection, taking into account the probability of COVID-19 transmission from Pasar Harian Kuala Lumpur and Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur daily and wholesale markets),\u201d he said at the MCO daily media briefing today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said the EMCO would enable detection activity to be carried out and all residents should remain calm and give full cooperation to the MOH personnel and adhere to directives\u00a0issued by authorities.<\/p>\n

Declining trend in MCO defiers<\/strong><\/h5>\n

In another news, the number of people arrested for defying the Movement Control Order (MCO) is showing a declining trend, with only 386 individuals detained yesterday compared with 550 people the previous day.<\/p>\n

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the government hoped that the declining trend in the arrest of MCO defiers would continue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to say thank you to the people for having realised the need to comply with all regulations\u00a0on\u00a0MCO.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Thank you also to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM)and all agencies involved in ensuring public compliance to the MCO,\u201d he told a daily media conference on MCO here today.<\/p>\n

Ismail Sabri said out of the 386 individuals detained yesterday, 332 of them were in remand and 54 released on police bail.<\/p>\n
