The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) has introduced an online payment method\u00a0to facilitate zakat fitrah (tithe) payment during the Movement Control Order (MCO).<\/p>\n<p>Minister in the Prime Minister\u2019s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri said the online payment is fixed at RM5 and RM7 per person, the zakat fitrah rates decided by the\u00a0<em>Jawatankuasa Perundingan Hukum Syara&#8217; Wilayah Persekutuan<\/em>\u00a0(Federal Territories shariah law consultative committee).<\/p>\n<p>He said MAIWP also appointed 919\u00a0<em>amils<\/em>\u00a0(authorised zakat collectors) to be stationed at locations subjected to the\u00a0 MCO and the government directives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<div class=\"mx-auto mb-4\">\n<div id=\"jssor_2023452248136\" data-jssor-slider=\"1\">\n<div data-scale-ratio=\"1\">\n<div data-u=\"slides\">\n<p>\u201cAmils are equipped with mobile devices for QR Code SnapNPay to enable cashless transactions,\u201d he told reporters after launching Al\u2019It\u2019am Kitchen, online zakat and Ihya Ramadan programme here today.<\/p>\n<p>Zulkifli said MAIWP also considering a drive-through\u00a0payment method at mosques.<\/p>\n<p>This year, two zakat fitrah rates are introduced to ease the burden of Muslims affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 mt-4 px-sm-0 px-md-5 px-lg-15 text-dark text-justify\">\n<p>Followings are online applications for tithe payment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SnapNPay<\/li>\n<li>e-Dompet Boost<\/li>\n<li>JomPay<\/li>\n<li>PPZ fitrah.com.my portal<\/li>\n<li>internet banking (14 banks)<\/li>\n<li>PayHalal<\/li>\n<li>MyEG portal<\/li>\n<li>U-Mobile<\/li>\n<li>Pos Online<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bernama.com\/en\/general\/news.php?id=1834862\">BERNAMA<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 &#8211;
