SHAH ALAM, March 12 – The state government of Selangor has decided to cancel non-critical public programs following latest updates from World Health Organisation (WHO) and Selangor Health Department in relation to COVID19 virus.<\/p>\n
In a statement this afternoon, Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari announced that the postponement or cancellation of programs are due to the potential spreading of the virus.<\/p>\n
One of the programs to be cancelled is the Selangor Job Fair 2020.<\/p>\n
“For programs that are critical and cannot be avoided, preventive measures will be taken during the programs,<\/p>\n
“Preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry such us wearing face masks and using hand sanitizers must be adhered to to prevent the spread,” he said.<\/p>\n
He also announced that the Economic Action Council of Selangor has immediately approved the formation of COVID19 Task Force.<\/p>\n
The task force is chaired by former Health Minister,\u00a0Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, and assisted by\u00a0Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.<\/p>\n
