Malaysians in\u00a0Lombok\u00a0are reported to be safe following the 7-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia,\u00a0Zamshari Shaharan\u00a0said the embassy managed to contact a total of\u00a084 Malaysians at several locations in\u00a0Lombok\u00a0so far this morning and had been\u00a0informed they were safe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are reported to be safe, the embassy has also managed to contact Malaysian students studying in Bali and they are also reported to be safe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Strong tremors from the earthquake in North Lombok Utara\u00a0at\u00a0 6.46 pm yesterday was also felt around Lombok\u00a0Island, Sumbawa Island, Bali Island and East\u00a0Jawa.<\/p>\n<p>The Malaysian Embassy also advised Malaysians in\u00a0Lombok\u00a0to remain in\u00a0places that were safe and avoid high risk areas, including damaged buildings.<\/p>\n<p>By Mohd Shukri Ishak &#8211;
