PUTRAJAYA, Aug 7 (Bernama) \u2013 The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has contacted Pagoh MP Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to provide a statement as a witness in an investigation into content uploaded on a TikTok account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to MCMC, the investigation aims to verify the context of a video linking Muhyiddin to a claim related to the targeted subsidy for RON95 petrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe focus of the investigation is to verify the context of the published content and does not involve any allegations or charges against him,\u201d the commission said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To complete the investigation, MCMC said it would call in any relevant individuals if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MCMC also urged all parties not to speculate and to allow the ongoing investigation to proceed independently, prudently and professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
