IPOH, Sept 25 — Perak FC became the last team to qualify for the Malaysia Cup semi-finals after they edged Sabah FC 1-0 in the quarter-final, return-leg clash at the Perak Stadium tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perak thus qualified on a 3-2 aggregate after both teams drew the first-leg tie 2-2 on Sept 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both teams threw everything they had at each other right from the first whistle but were denied by the excellence of their respective goalkeepers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But home team Perak finally made a breakthrough when Wan Zack Haikal netted the decisive goal in the 45th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sabah, under the guidance of Ong Kim Swee, tried to stage a fightback by switching tactics but to no avail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the semi-finals, Perak will take on defending Malaysia Cup champions Johor Darul Ta\u2019zim (JDT) while Terengganu FC will face Kuala Lumpur City FC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first leg of the semi-finals will be on Oct 20 and the return leg on Nov 3, with the final set for Dec 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
