Anwar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>PUTRAJAYA, Feb 2<\/strong> &#8212;\u00a0Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today stressed that the Unity Government under his leadership does not interfere\u00a0in the investigations carried out by any law enforcers, including the\u00a0investigation conducted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against Bersatu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at a press conference after chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting here today, Anwar said the investigation, enforcement and judiciary bodies remain independent to carry out their respective investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said it was irresponsible for the opposition party to make accusations against the Unity Government relating to the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-02-at-4.37.38-PM-1024x557.png\" alt=\"government\" class=\"wp-image-16238\" width=\"676\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-02-at-4.37.38-PM-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-02-at-4.37.38-PM-184x100.png 184w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will not do what they did&nbsp;and we will not use these (investigation and enforcement) bodies,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday, Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin was reported as saying that the party is disappointed with the Pakatan Harapan (PH) &#8211;
