{"id":16190,"date":"2023-01-27T09:19:24","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T01:19:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=16190"},"modified":"2023-01-27T09:19:25","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T01:19:25","slug":"penjana-kerjaya-three-men-charged-with-submitting-false-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=16190","title":{"rendered":"Penjana Kerjaya: Three men charged with submitting false claims"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27<\/strong> &#8212; Three men pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here today to charges of submitting false claims to the Social Security Organisation (Socso) for incentives under the\u00a0Penjana Kerjaya 2.0 programme in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first case, Datuk Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah, 55, who owns PUPA International Sdn Bhd, was charged with&nbsp;submitting documents containing false information regarding salaries&nbsp;to claim incentives amounting to&nbsp;RM378,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accused, who contested in the 15th General Election under Pejuang, allegedly committed the offence at the Putrajaya Socso office on March 2\u00a0and April 2, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"penjana kerjaya\" class=\"wp-image-16191\" width=\"446\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-350x234.jpg 350w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image-800x534.jpg 800w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/licensed-image.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><figcaption>Close up of wooden judge gavel<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same court, the owner of&nbsp;Era Media Sdn Bhd,&nbsp;Lee Hong Rong, 23, was charged with committing the same offence at the Kuala Lumpur Socso office&nbsp;on April 23 and June 21, 2021, to claim incentives totalling RM1.9 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In another Sessions Court, the owner of&nbsp;Minbot Sdn Bhd and Fireshot Marketing Sdn Bhd, Raymond Sim, 35, pleaded not guilty to&nbsp;submitting false documents to claim incentives under the same programme amounting to&nbsp;RM153,200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The offence was allegedly committed at the Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Socso office&nbsp;between June 3 and Sept 15, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the&nbsp;charges were framed under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The court allowed Mohd Ridzuan and Lee each bail at RM25,000&nbsp;with one surety and ordered them to surrender their passports and report to the nearest MACC office every month.
