LABUAN, Sept 10<\/strong> —\u00a0Perikatan Nasional (PN) has set up a 15th\u00a0general election (GE15) manifesto committee that will\u00a0focus on the political and economic stability of the country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its secretary-general\u00a0Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the manifesto will be inclusive and one for all races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the committee will be chaired by\u00a0Datuk Dr. Mohd Radzi Md Jidin and membered by representatives of PN component parties.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cThis manifesto focuses not only on political stability but also on economic development by providing job opportunities to the people,\u201d<\/em> he said after officiating at\u00a0Labuan Bersatu\u2019s Srikandi (women\u2019s wing) and Armada (youth wing) annual meeting here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamzah, who is also Home Minister, said the committee will ensure that the pledges contained in the manifesto can be achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the likely split of Malay votes between Bersatu and UMNO in GE15, Hamzah said Bersatu was now becoming more accepted by the people, including Labuan, adding that many UMNO former members had joined the party. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Bersatu was established six years ago, over 600,000 have registered as party members, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will strive to ensure Bersatu produces\u00a0high-calibre leaders from Labuan and the other states to help manage the country,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
