Two more individuals were remanded for five days from today until March 15 to assist in the corruption case involving a shipping&nbsp;company, said a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the suspects comprising an assistant operations manager and a former contract division manager of a shipping\u00a0company were detained at about 4.30 pm yesterday when they were present to give their statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-11-at-13.37.28.png\" alt=\"shipping company\" class=\"wp-image-13464\" width=\"496\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-11-at-13.37.28.png 593w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-11-at-13.37.28-300x186.png 300w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-11-at-13.37.28-162x100.png 162w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-11-at-13.37.28-350x217.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A MACC source said both suspects were believed to have received bribes amounting to about RM29 million between 2019 and 2021 as gratification to assist a&nbsp;company to obtain&nbsp;work to provide shipping&nbsp;services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the activities were believed to have been carried out with another suspect,&nbsp;34, the shipping&nbsp;company\u2019s planning division&nbsp;head who was remanded for six days&nbsp;on March 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigations on them were conducted under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The remand order was issued by&nbsp;Magistrate&nbsp;Shah Wira Abdul Halim against the two suspects, aged 54 and 47 respectively after MACC prosecution officer Siti Zaharah Alias submitted the applications at the Magistrate Court in&nbsp;Putrajaya this morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/\">NMT<\/a> as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bernama.com\/en\/crime_courts\/news.php?id=2060793\">Bernama<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PUTRAJAYA, March 11 &#8212;
