PORT DICKSON, Oct 24  — An engineer who drove a four-wheel-drive vehicle against the traffic flow before crashing into two other cars at KM26 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway, here, was detained early this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said test results showed that the 29-year-old man was drunk while behind the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the 2.45 am incident involved three cars, namely the\u00a0Ford Ranger driven by the suspect as well as\u00a0a Proton Saga and a Toyota Vios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFollowing the crash, the 31-year-old driver of the Proton Saga car suffered a broken thigh and was sent to the Port Dickson Hospital for treatment .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe 24-year-old driver of the Toyota Vios and his two passengers aged 23 and 25 escaped injuries,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aidi Sham said the engineer, who\u00a0did not sustain any injury\u00a0would\u00a0be taken to the Seremban\u00a0Magistrate\u2019s Court later\u00a0today for a\u00a0remand\u00a0order, adding that the case was being investigated under Section\u00a0Section 44(1A) and\u00a0Seksyen 42 (1) of the\u00a0Road Transport Act 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
