BERA, Oct 17  — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that it was his elder brother Kamarazaman Yaakob\u2019s right to set up a new party, Parti Kuasa Rakyat, in the country\u2019s democratic practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ismail Sabri, who is also a UMNO vice-president, said family members belonging to different political parties was not something new in this\u00a0country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has been happening in Malaysia\u2026.this is democracy and that\u2019s his right…there\u2019s no quarrel over it\u00a0and so on,\u201d said the Bera Member of Parliament when asked on Kamarazaman\u2019s action of setting up Parti\u00a0Kuasa Rakyat recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was speaking at a media conference after the pinning of the badge for Bera district police chief, Supt Mansor Samsudin who was promoted to the rank of DSP, at Dewan Sri Kempas of the district police headqarters, today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officiating at the event was Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani. Also promoted was the Bera district police deputy chief, DSP N.Kumaran who was previously an ASP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also present were Deputy Home Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Mohamed Said; Bukit Aman Department of Logistics and Technology director, Datuk Seri Sahabudin Abd Manan and its director of Management, Datuk Zaini Jass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamarazaman had reportedly launched Parti Kuasa Rakyat, a multi-racial one, on Oct 10, which among others, would be championing free education, free health and free housing, and the creation of job opportunities, especially for the B40 and M40 groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
