{"id":11739,"date":"2021-09-26T21:50:30","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T13:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=11739"},"modified":"2021-09-26T21:50:32","modified_gmt":"2021-09-26T13:50:32","slug":"teachers-refusing-vaccination-may-be-transferred-if-pdp-affected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=11739","title":{"rendered":"Teachers refusing vaccination may be transferred if PdP affected"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>LANGKAWI, Sept 26&nbsp;&#8212; Teachers who refuse to be vaccinated against COVID-19 may be transferred elsewhere if their actions cause the Teaching and Learning (PdP) process of students to be affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior Education Minister\u00a0Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin said one of the solutions being mulled in the interest of the students\u2019 safety was to transfer the teachers out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPreviously, unvaccinated teachers could not teach face-to-face but must be present in school, where they are put in a special place and given assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever, if we look at this data, we find that at certain schools there are teachers who refuse to be vaccinated teaching the same subjects, so how can we continue learning in this context,\u201d he told reporters after visiting the Langkawi Vocational College here today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said this issue should not be allowed to prolong and transfers, including interstate, might be carried out to resolve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screen-Shot-2021-09-26-at-21.49.34.png\" alt=\"teachers\" class=\"wp-image-11740\" width=\"499\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screen-Shot-2021-09-26-at-21.49.34.png 583w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screen-Shot-2021-09-26-at-21.49.34-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screen-Shot-2021-09-26-at-21.49.34-194x100.png 194w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screen-Shot-2021-09-26-at-21.49.34-350x181.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 499px) 100vw, 499px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Radzi said that even in the early stages, teachers who refused to be vaccinated had been advised and given sufficient time to get their vaccine jabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOf the 2,500 teachers who refused to be vaccinated, now there are only about 2,000 of them.
