{"id":10691,"date":"2021-08-10T19:44:56","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T11:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10691"},"modified":"2021-08-10T19:44:57","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T11:44:57","slug":"flexibility-for-the-fully-vaccinated-can-help-revive-the-domestic-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10691","title":{"rendered":"Flexibility for the fully vaccinated can help revive the domestic economy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PUTRAJAYA, Aug&nbsp;10 &#8212;&nbsp;The flexibility given to fully vaccinated individuals can help revive&nbsp;various&nbsp;domestic economic activities that will see more the opening of more&nbsp;economic and social sectors in stages soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi reminded all consumers and traders&nbsp;to work together to ensure full compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set, especially in states under Phase Two and Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) to keep everyone&nbsp;safe&nbsp;and&nbsp;healthy as well as&nbsp;ensure business&nbsp;sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe permission given to fully vaccinated individuals to dine-in\u00a0provides relief to\u00a0operators of eateries, restaurants, and cafes in states under Phase Two and Phase Three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ministry\u00a0enforcement officers will ensure all the SOPs are fully complied with by customers and the premises,\u201d he said in a statement here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-10-at-19.39.46.png\" alt=\"fully vaccinated\" class=\"wp-image-10692\" width=\"533\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-10-at-19.39.46.png 586w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-10-at-19.39.46-300x164.png 300w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-10-at-19.39.46-183x100.png 183w, https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-10-at-19.39.46-350x192.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nanta said he was confident that the country was on the right track to&nbsp;move out&nbsp;of the COVID-19&nbsp;pandemic in a more orderly and safe manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said this was after 15.35 million or 65.6 percent of the adult population in the country\u00a0had received\u00a0the first dose\u00a0of COVID-19 vaccine, while\u00a08.25 million or 35.3 percent completed both doses\u00a0of the\u00a0vaccination and daily vaccinations\u00a0surpassed the 500,000 doses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the ministry\u00a0had previously emphasized that all retail and distribution industry players should be prepared for the opening of all businesses sectors in stages after all employees were fully vaccinated\u00a0and they made the necessary preparations\u00a0to ensure that their operations complied with the SOPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ministry\u00a0has also collaborated with the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force\u00a0in implementing the Retail Industry Vaccination\u00a0(RIVac)\u00a0program\u00a0in the Klang Valley since July 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo date, a total of 29,105 industry workers have been vaccinated\u00a0and the program will\u00a0be expanded to other states\u00a0such as Penang and Johor soon based on the registrations received,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The relaxation of restrictions\u00a0for fully\u00a0vaccinated individuals in states under\u00a0Phase Two\u00a0and\u00a0Phase Three of the PPN came into force\u00a0today following Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin\u2019s announcement last Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>States that are in Phase Two&nbsp;of PPR&nbsp;are Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Perak, Penang and&nbsp;Sabah while&nbsp;
