{"id":10545,"date":"2021-08-05T21:07:01","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T13:07:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10545"},"modified":"2021-08-05T21:07:03","modified_gmt":"2021-08-05T13:07:03","slug":"dont-let-political-crisis-disrupt-govt-efforts-in-fighting-covid-19-tuan-ibrahim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10545","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t let political crisis disrupt govt efforts in fighting COVID-19 &#8211; Tuan Ibrahim"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KOTA BHARU, Aug 5 &#8212;&nbsp;The current political crisis&nbsp;in Malaysia, if&nbsp;left unchecked, could disrupt the efforts of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, said&nbsp;PAS deputy president&nbsp;Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said PAS, which supports&nbsp;the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, was of the view that all politicians should instead focus on problems posed by the pandemic&nbsp;and economic issues that were plaguing the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;If there are parties who wish to submit a motion&nbsp;of no confidence against&nbsp;the prime minister and so on, they can do so&nbsp;at the Parliament sitting&nbsp;in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The general election (GE15) is approaching. Therefore, it is not appropriate if we want to change the prime minister with just a few months to go.
