{"id":10222,"date":"2021-07-07T16:11:31","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T08:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10222"},"modified":"2021-07-07T16:11:32","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T08:11:32","slug":"covid-sensitivity-levels-of-two-saliva-self-test-kits-above-90-pct-health-dg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmalaysiatimes.com\/?p=10222","title":{"rendered":"COVID: Sensitivity levels of two saliva self-test kits above 90 pct &#8211; Health DG"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 &#8212; Studies\u00a0done by the Medical Research Institute (IMR) have\u00a0found that two self-test devices (Rapid Antigen test) that use saliva for COVID-19 screening, have sensitivity levels of above 90 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham said the studies\u00a0conducted by IMR had been completed and that the details on the guidelines for the use of the self-test kits were expected to be ready next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Evaluation on two saliva self-testing devices have been completed by the IMR and both have a sensitivity of over 90 percent.
