KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 — The 2021 UMNO general assembly, originally scheduled for Jan 30 and 31, has been postponed to a date to be announced later due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the Emergency proclamation.
However, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has agreed for party elections at all levels to proceed this year once there is a suitable date.

“UMNO members are also reminded to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) set to contain the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement today.
He also reminded party members to keep focusing on issues concerning the people’s welfare during these challenging times.
