DAP terminates defectors membership; warns others against defecting

KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 – The Democratic Action Party Disciplinary Committee has today terminated the membership of Norhizam Bin Hassan Baktee (ADUN Pangkalan Batu, Melaka) as well as two others defectors from the party.

In a statement today, the Disciplinary Committee Chairman Chong Chieng Jen announced the membership termination or Norhizam for crossing over from DAP to Perikatan Nasional.

Two Perak ADUNs who have defected, namely Yong Choo Kiong (Tronoh) and Sivasubramaniam A/L Athi Narayanan (Buntong) had both publicly announced quitting the party, and the Disciplinary Committee has also decided to terminate their membership.

Chong advised all party members to disassociate themselves from these 3 defectors and that no member shall accept any official position offered by the Perikatan Nasional.

“The Disciplinary Committee will take the sternest action against whoever that defects because nothing is more treacherous and worse than a betrayal of the people’s mandate.” said Chong.
