Husband wife killed car lorry accident Kluang

PORT DICKSON, Oct 3 – A 35-year-old man was killed, while his wife and young daughter sustained injuries, after their car collided with a lorry driven by a man suspected to be under the influence of alcohol at KM13.5 of Jalan Lukut-Sepang on Friday evening, October 2, 2026.

Port Dickson District Police Chief Supt Ahmad Afiq Mohd Adnan reported that the incident occurred at approximately 6:50 PM.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 46-year-old lorry driver, who was traveling in the Lukut-Sepang direction, lost control of his vehicle before veering into the oncoming lane and crashing into the victim’s Perodua Myvi.

“The 35-year-old car driver died at the scene due to severe injuries, while his 32-year-old wife and their five-year-old daughter sustained injuries,” Ahmad Afiq stated in an official release on Saturday.

Driver Tested Positive for Alcohol

The lorry driver escaped the collision uninjured. While an initial urine screening tested negative for illicit drugs, a breathalyser test confirmed an alcohol concentration level above the permitted legal limit.

All victims were transported to Port Dickson Hospital for treatment and post-mortem procedures. Police have arrested the lorry driver, and the case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing death or injury.
