KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 – Police are maintaining round-the-clock security at former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s private residence in Jalan Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed that security forces will remain deployed at the site pending further instructions from higher authorities.
“We provided security from the outset when we received the notification, and it remains in place today. We are there 24 hours a day while awaiting further instructions,” Fadil told reporters on Monday.
The security contingent consists of personnel from both the Sentul District Police Headquarters and the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters.
The continuous guard detail follows a recent joint security assessment conducted by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Prisons Department at the residence, in preparation for the potential implementation of Najib’s house arrest order.
