SEREMBAN, Sept 26 – Police have recorded statements from 21 people—including students, teachers, and parents—to facilitate ongoing investigations into the death of a 14-year-old student at a school hostel in Kuala Pilah on Friday.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that the official cause of death for the victim, identified as Muhammad Idlan Fareeq Shahril, remains pending.
“The cause of death cannot be determined at this stage, and we are still awaiting the results of further tests,” Alzafny told reporters on Saturday.
Earlier, police confirmed that a Form Four student has been remanded for six days to assist with the investigation.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
