CALIFORNIA, Sept 9 – Apple officially unveiled its long-anticipated entry into the foldable smartphone market, introducing the iPhone Duo during its annual flagship product event at its headquarters in California on Wednesday.
Promoting the new form factor during the launch showcase, the presentation package highlighted the device’s novel user experience, declaring that “iPhone Duo is unlike any iPhone you’ve experienced before.” Built with an asymmetric folding structure, the smartphone opens up to reveal an expansive 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR main display.
The inner screen offers significantly expanded display real estate compared to conventional flagships, measuring 50 per cent larger than the newly introduced iPhone 18 Pro Max and 80 per cent larger than the standard Pro model. Apple noted that when fully unfolded, the iPhone Duo stands as the thinnest iPhone ever manufactured, relying on an aerospace-grade titanium frame to preserve structural integrity and durability.
