Basic BUDI MADANI Subsidised Fuel Entitlement Increased to 300 Litres

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 — The basic monthly eligibility limit under the BUDI MADANI subsidised fuel entitlement initiative has been increased from 200 to 300 litres, effective today.

In a statement posted on social media, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) confirmed that the adjustment applies to both BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) and BUDI MADANI Diesel (BUDI Diesel), allowing eligible recipients to access up to 300 litres of subsidised fuel per month. Subsidised prices remain unchanged at RM1.99 per litre for RON95 and RM2.10 per litre for diesel under the respective schemes.

Under the revised structure, eligible owners of private diesel-powered pick-up trucks and jeeps can receive a maximum monthly entitlement of up to 400 litres, which includes an additional 100-litre top-up quota. MOF highlighted that over half a million private diesel vehicle owners qualify for this expanded allocation.

“No reapplication is required for existing recipients. New applications for the additional 100 litres of BUDI Diesel can be made through the budimadani.gov.my portal,” the ministry stated, noting that existing approved top-up recipients will have their monthly quotas automatically upgraded to 400 litres.

The revised quotas follow Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement during his 2026 National Day Address last Sunday. Implementation is automatic for current BUDI95 and BUDI Diesel beneficiaries. Nationwide, approximately 16 million users benefit from subsidised RON95 petrol, with more than 700,000 of them also qualifying for subsidised diesel.
