KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 – Blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin died in the United Kingdom on Monday evening, aged 74.
News of his passing was confirmed by his brother Raja Idris this morning.
“It is with great sadness that I inform you that my beloved brother, Raja Petra Kamarudin, has passed away at 11:26 pm UK on Monday, September 9 in Manchester, United Kingdom,” he was quoted saying to FMT.
Raja Petra, commonly known as RPK, was born on September 27, 1950. He ran the often controversial website Malaysia Today, publishing commentary and news on Malaysian politics.
He lived in Manchester for many years.
