
KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 — National track cyclist Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom won the silver medal in the men’s keirin event at the International Cycling Union (UCI) Track Nations Cup in Cairo, Egypt yesterday (Thursday).
According to the championship organiser website, https://www.uci.org/, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist finished second with a time difference of +0.057 second (s) behind Japan’s Shinji Nakano in the final act at Cairo International Velodrome.

Nakano recorded a time of 10.613 seconds to win the gold while his compatriot Kaiya Ota who recorded a time of 10.686 seconds took home the bronze medal.
The event which began on Wednesday ends today and will move to Milton, Canada from April 20 until 23.
