
SEPANG, Oct 19 — Malaysian Representatives (Malawakil) are ready to help voters who are abroad to carry out their responsibilities in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah said normally, embassies and consulates are responsible for assisting the Election Commission (SPR) to coordinate with voters who are abroad.
He said Malawakil will also make the necessary preparations, including managing the increase of voters abroad following the implementation of UNDI18 and automatic voter registration.

“Whatever instructions and decisions the EC makes we will implement as best we can,” he told the media after welcoming the return of a Malaysian who suffered a stroke while in South Korea at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport today.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of Parliament with effect from Oct 10 to make way for GE15 after being approved by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The EC will hold a special meeting tomorrow to determine important dates for GE15 following the dissolution of Parliament.
