PORT DICKSON, 10 Oct – PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently officiated a free online tuition programme, PDTuition as part of his election gifts to the people of Port Dickson in the PD Move by-election.
The online platform turned out to be a re-badge of another online learning platform.
The first few days of it’s launch, the site PDtuition.com brought visitors to Anwar’s PDtuition landing page which showed that the programme is sponsored by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Looking at the landing page and reading ‘Ditaja oleh Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’, one would wonder how a career politician who just got out of prison would be able to afford to sponsor such expensive online learning platform like PDTuition? Platforms like this would require months to build and not to mention very costly.
The answer to that was soon revealed once visitors click on the “Enter Now>>” button.
After clicking that button, visitors were diverted to another website called EZlearn2U.my which copyrights are owned by a company called Star Vitalnet Technolocy Sdn Bhd.
The main PDTUITION page was a mere landing page to show that Anwar sponsors the platform. It is not known whether Anwar is the real sponsor of the free tuition platform or if it’s a corporate sponsorship from Star Vitalnet Technology.
The day after Anwar launched the platform, Tentera Troll Kebangsaan Malaysia Facebook page revealed how Anwar merely rebadged an existing online learning platform from EZlearn2U.my into PDTuition portal.
Netizens even joked of how Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad use to rebadge Mitsubishi into Protons, and now Anwar is following his example by rebadging EZLearn2U into PDTuition.
“Current PM used to rebadge cars and the PM-in-waiting is merely rebadging tuition portals? What kind of a PM are we getting?” says a Facebook user.
PDTuition no longer EZLearn2U
Since the revelation by Tentera Troll Kebangsaan Malaysia, PDTuition has since been copied and transferred to another site that does not show EZlearn2U.my web address. It is believed to be a damage-control move to repair Anwar’s reputation who this time got caught with pants on fire.
This new site may look like it’s owned by Anwar but the devil is really in the details. It is actually owned by a company called MyET Education Sdn Bhd. This company is directly linked to EZLEARN2U.MY owner Star Vitalnet Technology Sdn Bhd via its directors and shareholders.
According to SSM search, Star Vitalnet Technology and MyET Education Sdn Bhd share the same address in Suite 4, Level 5, Perak Techno Trade Centre. Both companies are linked by their owners and/or shareholders.
A certain Lee Chin Chin owns shares in both companies and is a director of both companies. Yee Shia Ming is a director of both companies but is a shareholder of Star Vitalnet Technology. Aside from Lee Chin Chin, MyET Education Sdn Bhd has a shareholder by the name of Khairul Idham Ismail.
Both Yee Shia Ming and Khairul Idham Ismail are linked via a company listed on Bursa Malaysia, NICE or Niche Capital Emas Holdings Berhad. Are they sponsoring Anwar for PD Move using PDTuition access?
EZLEARN2U.MY website also showed collaboration with Perak State, Yayasan Perak and state GLC KPerak. This opens up another question if Anwar or Pakatan Harapan are misusing a state government machinery for his PD Move by-election.
Anwar ignoring election rules
Anwar had been ignoring public furore and calls to stop his election campaign violations and even recently warned the Election Commission to not go overboard after giving Anwar few warnings on his violations.
Netizens are showing great concern of what kind of a Prime Minister will Malaysia be getting if Anwar keeps on behaving this way with some even comparing his antics as a return to Barisan Nasional administration.
