SHAH ALAM, March 12 – The state government of Selangor has decided to cancel non-critical public programs following latest updates from World Health Organisation (WHO) and Selangor Health Department in relation to COVID19 virus.
In a statement this afternoon, Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari announced that the postponement or cancellation of programs are due to the potential spreading of the virus.
One of the programs to be cancelled is the Selangor Job Fair 2020.
“For programs that are critical and cannot be avoided, preventive measures will be taken during the programs,
“Preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry such us wearing face masks and using hand sanitizers must be adhered to to prevent the spread,” he said.
He also announced that the Economic Action Council of Selangor has immediately approved the formation of COVID19 Task Force.
The task force is chaired by former Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, and assisted by Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
