TURKEY: Anwar Ibrahim did not waste his time in Turkey whilst recovering from surgery; meeting up with Abdul-Vahed Niyazov, President of Public Division of Russian Muftis Council, along with the delegation from European Union Muslim Forum to discuss a substantial number of topics believed to be about modern Islam and democracy.

Anwar said, “I expounded on the importance of inter-civilizational dialogue relative to the Muslim-Christian relations in the effort to bridge the gap, due to the current animosity and distrust.”

According to his Facebook post, they all acknowledged that there’s an urgent need to put a special emphasis focusing on the aspect of moderation, socio-cultural and political participation.
